Stihl RM545VM Lawnmower

The Stihl RM545VM is a 17” (43cm) variable speed drive four wheeled mower that is suitable for small to medium sized areas of grass. The RM545VM is equally at home on lawns and other less formal areas of grass such as orchards.

As you would expect from Stihl, the RM545VM is a quality mower that is packed with features to help make cutting the lawn that little bit easier.

The variable speed drive allows you to choose a forward walking pace to suit you and the cutting conditions. The speed is easily varied between 2.2 and 3.8km/h. When the drive is not in use, you can push and pull the mower with ease to facilitate cutting in those tricky corners.

A single point height of cut adjuster allows you to change the height from a single position making changes to the cutting height very quick and easy.

The RM545VM can be configured in three ways to allow either cut-and-collect, cut-and-rear-discharge or cut-and-mulch.

The grass box is a rigid construction which allows for larger airflow holes than would typically be found on a fabric sided grass bag. This allows for improved airflow to assist grass collection and easier cleaning. A handy grass box full indicator allows you to see when it is time to empty the box. The large 60 litre capacity of the grass box minimises the number of times you will need to stop to empty and, when it is time to empty, the hinged lid of the grass box makes emptying a really simple job.

If grass collection is not required, the grass box can be left off the mower and the clippings discharged to the ground behind the mower or the mulch plug can be fitted turning the mower into a mulching mower. Mulching cuts the grass into tiny pieces and returns them to the lawn to give a finished appearance as if the clippings had been collected. The clippings act as free nutrients for your lawn and, when mulching, you don’t need to keeping stopping to empty the grass box.

Power is provided by Stihl’s reliable EVC300 engine which is easy to start and quiet whilst running.

The handle features a soft grip and has three height settings for operator comfort. When the mowing is done, the handle can easily be folded for storage.
