Mountfield MTF 84H Lawn Tractor

If you want to move up from a rider to a lawn tractor with maximum manoeuvrability, the Mountfield MTF 84H is the perfect choice. With a 33” (84cm) width of cut, the MTF 84H has a slightly wider cut than many of the riders on the market. Most lawn tractors of this size use a single blade but the MTF 84H uses two contra-rotating blades for an improved cut and collection.

This model features a foot operated hydrostatic drive to give you maximum control over the mower’s speed and direction. The harder you press the drive pedal forward, the faster the tractor drives forward. The harder you press the pedal backwards, the faster the tractor reverses. This simple control makes the transition from mowing wide open spaces to mowing tight areas very easy.

The blades are engaged electronically via a switch on the dashboard. Once cutting is underway, the grass clippings are fed effortlessly into the 200 litre grass collector by the ‘direct collect’ system. When the collector is full, a warning tone sounds and the collector can easily be emptied from the sitting position.

The height of cut is adjusted by a single lever offering cutting heights between 25 and 80mm.  So, whether it is a lawn, orchard or roadside verge you are cutting, there will be a height of cut to suit.

When cutting is finished, a wash port allows grass clippings to be cleaned from the underside of the cutter deck without you ever needing to go near the blades.

To add to the versatility of this lawn tractor, a rear deflector chute is available if grass collection is not required. A mulching kit and a towing hitch are also available as optional extras.
